What makes New Mexico so beautiful?
Introduction: As you traveled around New Mexico, surely you noticed the beauty of the state. Every place that you have visited has had a lot of scenic views to offer. Even along the way to your destination had magnificent views. Carlsbad with its famous caverns, Taos with its beautiful snow capped mountains, and Santa Fe's historic town are all great examples. The list goes on and on. This state is truly a sight for sore eyes!
Task: New Mexico is not called The Land of Enchantment for nothing! It is filled with beauty and adventure. After traveling around New Mexico and seeing the awesome sights, you now know how true this is. It is your job now to convince everyone else that New Mexico is worth the visit or exploration. You will think of 2 to 3 reasons why you think people should come visit New Mexico. You will then provide evidence to support your claims. You will be writing this in an essay format.
After we have completed the essay, we will put together a "tourist attraction" video to showcase our marvelous state. We will use WeVideo to create a 3 to 5 minute long video. You will use Google Images to search for images of New Mexico. It can be cities, sunsets, mountains, White Sands, lakes, etc... What ever you think makes New Mexico beautiful! You will use the Google Search engine to gather a few facts on the images. Take your time and explore New Mexico. Each student will have the opportunity to say why they believe people should visit New Mexico.

Conclusion: So what did you think of New Mexico? Did you think it was just a dry and desolate place? As your image search discovered, New Mexico has a variety of landscapes and climates. Here in the south we have desert and it can get hot, to the east and west of us we have forest, and up north is the snow-capped mountains. It gets colder as we move up right? New Mexico is a pretty amazing place. Have you ever wondered what parts of the world we are similar to? For example, the Middle East is a hot desert just like here. What other continent or country can we compare New Mexico's environment to? Do some investigation of your own using Google search. You may be surprised as to what you might find!
